Nominations invited for Most Improved Ringing Room

Broseley

The Bell Restoration Fund are currently looking for nominations for the George Cousins Cup.

George Thomas Cousins was a valued member of HDGB who died in 1987. He was instrumental in the formation of the Hereford Ringing Course in 1963 with Wilfrid Moreton and Austin Wingate, and the BRF in 1976.

George donated a cup so that it can be awarded by the BRF each year for the most improved ringing room in the Hereford Diocese.

Improvements could include any measures that have made ringing rooms more comfortable and inviting, such as redecoration, better lighting, heating or seating, or better organisation of the space.

Previous winners have included Broseley and Ledbury. Picture above is Broseley’s winning ringing room.
