Guild Webmaster – Nick Chapman
Having retired to the country after a career in IT, I took up bellringing in 2018 as (I thought) it was a way of getting away from computers! Not to be … as soon as I’d mastered Plain Bob Doubles and Grandsire, I was handed another challenge of Guild Webmaster to develop a completely new Guild website which is what you see today. There’s still more to do (ideas and suggestions to webmaster@hdgb.org please!), and I’ve been encouraged by the positive comments.
I am Tower Captain at Allensmore and also ringing master for the South Hereford District where I ring regularly at least three times a week at various towers’ practices and Sunday services. I now also enjoy helping new ringers take on our ancient art and was delighted last year when we taught the Madley Girl Guides to “Ring for the King”!
